I’ve been listening to a fascinating series of video lectures on Judaism. One started out asking why the Judaism of today is so different from biblical Judaism. That really got my attention! The professor explained why the rabbis had to “reinvent” Judaism after the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD, because they no longer had their temple, the center of Jewish life and worship. In this video I discuss that. But I start off answering a question someone posed at our recent mid-week Bible study. The question was, why didn’t Jews accept Messiah? It’s an important question!
