When Jesus faced the devil himself in mortal combat in the desert, He did so as our Representative. Our eternal destinies were on the line! Should He have succumbed to any of the enemy’s temptations, we would forever have been lost! But He not only represented us victoriously, but also went there to model for us how spiritual warfare is to be fought and won!
